I do understand that Elle with her past would have to be treated different by the Cade and Merrick. This seemed like a lot different writing. I was thinking their would be more sex scenes, and the scenes that make things heat up. When I first started reading this book, I did expect to be similar to her other series. This does affect the normal writing of Maya Banks. She has been beaten, raped and almost killed twice. Neither of them wants to back away for the other one. They both love in and want her, but only one can have her. They also both start to fall in love with her. She is down on her luck and is being sought after by others.
In Theirs to keep, we see best friends Cade and Merrick. Maya is back at it, and this book shows the length that friends go for each other.
