From Christine’s stunning gown to the pale pink bridesmaids dresses, the natural-looking bouquets, the groomsmen’s snazzy ties, the succulents at each table, the background music during the party… understated elegance. Christine & Peter made a solemn commitment to cling to God and cling to each other through all seasons.įollowing the ceremony, this new husband & wife celebrated with 160 guests over a lunch reception held at Van Dusen Gardens’ Shaughnessy Restaurant. Everything was so elegant. But then comes summer, fall and finally, the harsh winter. Their pastor spoke about the seasons of life - and how, although this was a Fall wedding, their marriage is in a Spring season. Christine & Peter had a beautiful, beautiful Christian ceremony. The ceremony took place at eleven o’ clock in the morning at Canadian Memorial Church. As guests entered, both sides of the family stood at the doorway of the church to welcome. Her bridesmaids laughed, “Only Christine would be this excited about a ring box!” And as Christine read Peter’s letter she whispered, “I thought the gift was incredible but this is so much more!” He had one silly gift, a t-shirt he designed with childhood photos of theirs combined into one picture, and one beautiful gift, a ring box from Tiffany’s. Loved watching Christine open her gift from Peter with delight. She was certain I was the photographer for her from the very beginning and that is a huge honour. From our very first meeting at the engagement session, to months of emails and now the wedding day, Christine made me feel SO welcomed. What a location! Christine is quite possibly the kindest, most genuine-hearted, hospitable bride I have ever had the privilege of photographing. I started with Christine and her bridesmaids at her families gorgeous apartment in Coal Harbour. Christine & Peter were married this past Saturday, September 22nd.
